Our District
South Holland Scout District is one of ten districts within Lincolnshire Scouts, covering the fenland towns of Spalding, Holbeach, Long Sutton, Moulton & Whaplode, Pinchbeck and surrounding villages
South Holland is home to a vibrant Scouting community that offers children and young people a wide range of opportunities to learn, lead, and enjoy the outdoors. Part of the Scouts, our local groups provide age-appropriate programs through various sections, from Squirrels to Explorers. These groups are supported by the South Holland Scout District, which brings together volunteers and youth members across the area.
Headed by a District Lead Volunteer (Carla Craney), the District comprises multiple Scout Groups for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Scout Network, including 1st Spalding Town, 4th Spalding, 1st Long Sutton, 1st Moulton & Whaplode, and 3rd Holbeach Town
They meet weekly at local halls, following a member‑shaped programme of traditional and adventurous activities—from camping on their district site at Pecks Drove to kayaking, archery, games, crafts, community service and hiking. The district also runs joint events, encourages progression through awards like the Duke of Edinburgh and King’s Scout, and is supported by volunteers including trustees such as our District Treasurer and Chair.
